 Good news from Sony and Insomniac today; Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time has a release date. Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack In Time will be released on October 27, 2009.
OK, now I don't want to be sour because the release of any good game is reason to celebrate... The industry choosing to release a ton of must-have games all in one season is really pissing me (and a lot of you) off. Stagger the releases will you please!?

 PS3 firmware v3.00 is about to go live, at least according to the official PlayStation blog.
The v3.00 changes were detailed a couple of weeks ago at Gamescom 2009 but if you can't remember I don't blame you. This is of course the same firmware that's in the PS3 slim some people are already playing with so hopefully there will be less snafus than usual...

 Sony just announced the upcoming God of War Collection. This nifty collection puts the original God of War and God of War II on one Blu-ray disc for your PS3. Even better yet though, they say these will have full trophy support out of the box. God of War Collection will feature reworked versions of both God of War® and God of War® II on a single Blu-ray Disc™ at full 1280 x 720 resolution. Both critically acclaimed games, which were originally developed for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, have been remastered with anti-aliased graphics running at 60 frames per second for a smooth gameplay experience on the PS3 system. Additionally, the Blu-ray Disc compilation will bring PlayStation®Network (PSN) trophy support to the franchise for the first time (included for both games). God of War Collection offers substantial value to PS3 consumers, the compilation of both best-selling games costing just $39.99 MSRP.Now this is all well and good but they preface the press release with info about the survey they did awhile back (you can see our post here) asking what gamers would want in the God of War II Collectors edition. See the difference? Now instead of tucking it into GoW III, they are selling it separately for $40. Seems a little pricey if you ask me and citing the survey just rubs salt into the wound. In any event, we'll see this during the Holidays.

 While we are still waiting for Bethesda to release the actual DLC for Fallout 3, they have been updating PSN to show the DLC trophies. Kind of weird but not unheard of.
According to tipsters (as told to Kotaku), the trophies are up fro Broken Steel and the other DLC packs already. Maybe this means they are getting ready for a release? Last time Bethesda mentioned anything they were shooting for a September release date for Broken Steel.

 A few months ago we got a flurry of PSP-related games announcements including GTA Chinatown Wars coming over from the DS. Then things went dark. At long last though it looks like we're going to get a closer look at the game, especially now that Rockstar has given it a firm release date:Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars coming October 20th for PSP.We'll get the images up as soon as they release some.
